The Sea Transport of Dangerous Goods Re-certification Course (AMSA Accepted Dangerous Goods) covers identification and handling, relevant information for all involved personnel, safety precautions and equipment, and compliance with the IMDG Code and applicable statutory requirements.
AMSA Accepted IMDG Code training is mandatory for personnel engaged in specific functions related to the Sea transport of Dangerous Goods. Our AMSA Accepted course (No 5132) meets all of Shipping Australia's requirements for recognition under the AMSA regulations.
This course is suitable for personnel whose job roles include:
- Packing dangerous goods in packagings;
- Marking, labelling or placarding dangerous goods;
- Preparing transport documents for dangerous goods; and/or
- Signing or authorising transport documents for dangerous goods.
This course may include some or all of the following delivery modes: classroom, online/eLearning, workplace or blended options.
The duration of this course is 1 day. The course is delivered at 15 Barrie Rd, Tullamarine VIC, or can be delivered at other suitable workplaces by arrangement.
Assessment is conducted using the mandated assessment tool set by the Regulator, which requires a reasonable command of English and basic numeracy skills.
To be eligible to complete this recertification course, you must have completed the initial Sea Transport of Dangerous Goods Certification Course or equivalent.
On successful completion of this course, you will be issued with a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment with the relevant Units of Competency.
