Government Directives:

“From 11:59 Wednesday 17 February 2021, Victoria returned to COVIDSafe Summer, with some revised conditions.  Under COVIDSafe Summer restrictions, adult education settings can open without density quotients in their learning/classroom spaces

…staff, when not teaching, and students and visitors aged 12 or older must wear a face mask unless a lawful exemption applies in:

  • all indoor spaces
  • all outdoor spaces when physical distancing cannot be maintained.”

How our students can help:

If attending our facilities, we expect you to wear a face covering/mask in the situations outlined by the directive, unless a lawful reason applies.

When onsite, you will be asked to log your attendance via QR Code, to aid in contract tracing in the event of a positive case link.

If you feel unwell on the day of your course, please do not attend, and contact us to reschedule at a later date. Please see our statement further down this page for full details on our current approach.

COVID-19 and our approach

Last updated March 2021

AITAC continues to monitor the local impact of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and the latest directives surrounding this. The safety, health and well-being of the AITAC team, trainers/assessors, and our students, is our top priority.

We are continuing to offer face-to-face classes under the most recent advice from public health authorities, and have implemented additional measures with aim to provide the safest possible learning environment for our students. These measures include conducting smaller class sizes, facilitating social distancing wherever possible, increasing cleaning of our facilities, and provision of hand sanitiser.

We need your help to keep everyone safe and healthy.

How?

When attending your training session, please be prepared to follow the instruction of your trainer regarding measures such as social distancing and face masks. While these will at minimum align with the government directives in place at any given time, we may go above and beyond this in the interests of protecting our staff and students. While we understand this can be inconvenient, we rely on your respect and compliance during these difficult times.

Importantly, please reschedule your training for another time if in the last 14 days you have:

  • Experienced symptoms such as coughing, fever, sore throat, shortness of breath or body aches
  • Been in close contact with anyone who has a suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19

If symptoms appear while attending your course, please return home immediately for both your comfort and the safety of those around you. If you are seen to be demonstrating these symptoms, you may be asked to leave the facility, again, for safety reasons.

Thank you. We value your custom and appreciate your help in keeping our workplace and each other safe.
